PHURR- THE WEEKS THAT WERE (16TH-28TH)

  The Phurr: 28th Storm everywhere. Poles damaged. Conductors snapped. And I woke up at 6 PM. Phurrr. The Defence Research: 16th I don't usually receive unknown calls. Not nowadays. Not since working here. Not specially in the morning before 9.30 morning. But when I saw 7 missed calls from an unknown number and 3 missed calls from our DGM, I cursed myself. Shit! I called the unknown number. It was from Major Saab. Sir ji, he addressed. Arey Major Saab boliye, I replied. Hamara cable jal gaya hai. Kuch kijiye. Line nahi hai.  Pre election: 16th-18th I got the next call from DGM, and the next from AGM. Ki koriba etia, they asked. Contractor!, I replied. Aru ni ki korim. It has always been the contractors. They are the superheroes who can turn the wheels that are otherwise difficult to be moved. Not because we cannot move, but because we cannot fund ourselves.
